In his blog, 43 folders, Merlin Mann offered some great advice to those who have graduated college and are looking at their futures. He called it "Future Proofing Your Passion." He speaks of success and goals and among other things, the importance of failing well, hanging with smart people, and being committed. He finishes with the part I like best:

"Anything else? Yeah. Drink lots of water, play with your kid every chance you get, and quit Facebook today. No, really, do it."
