Old Books, New Meaning
I'm reading some philosophical stuff that I haven't really looked at for 20 or 25 years. I'm finding that it holds a richer meaning for me now -- I am not who I used to be. Maybe a good long break from something that we find inspiring or important gives us a chance to assimilate its meaning and put it into daily practice. Then we can dip into it again some time later and get even more from it.See, there's a reason for hanging onto those old books. I doubt they'd be available in bookstores today.
